Judge Staskal Finally Stops the Boesen Boys/Club Cobeman Run-Away Train

I applaud Judge Douglas Staskal's ruling that Maureen Boesen is not entitled to the $3 million dollar life insurance proceeds because it's his understanding and belief that she signed loan documents where Fraud was committed, whether she realized it or not.

In our country, when you sign on the dotted line, that means you are agreeing to be responsible for paying back the money the bank is loaning to you. How many million people in this country lost their homes to foreclosure when they signed for sub-prime loans? Jerry Wanabee wasn't defending their right to keep their homes even though it was proven that the documents submitted by the Mortgage Broker were fraudulent. It has been the court's opinion that BEFORE you sign for a loan, it's your responsibility to check things out.

This is the first step in proving that CRIMINAL FRAUD was committed by Ed Boesen and more than the likely his co-horts, his brothers, attorneys who set up 46 different LLC's & Corporations and anyone else who facilitated in the commission of Bank Fraud. Judge Staskal obviously wasn't 'bought and paid for', thank God!

She committed to repaying the loan when she signed the loan documents, so she is responsible for repayment. The judge made the right decision.

Anonymous said...

Wonder who else is involved? He could not have done this alone.

Anonymous said...

Bravo to the judge. He is only following the law. If he's up for re-election vote HIM back in. Justice will be done fairly and right.

Can we send an e-mail to you Doris-James without the info going on the blog? If so, I will check this page for your answer.

Doris,

Your coverage is now WEAK! You used to come up with some stuff--tie things together.

Not much need to look at your blog again. I'll check back some day, but not soon. What happened?

Hi Ron. Nice Blog.

Anonymous said...

What is wrong with owner of this blog? Does anyone know the identity of the writer of this blog?

Anonymous said...

to above....yes

Anonymous said...

Who writes this blog? Who is Ron?

Anonymous said...

Thanks for this blog. Very informational for someone like myself who now lives very far away, but grew up around a lot of the people stuck in this soap opera.

Eddie was always a nice guy, never forget his smile and outgoing personality walking home from HT.

It appears he was morally empty when it came to cheating the system and the saddest, most selfish aspect of the whole story is leaving 4 kids without a father. A cowardly act, but most likely one made by someone who became mentally ill from the hole dug.

May his family find solace and his enablers due justice.

Long live Rice Field!!!
Shame on those - who ran, sweat, bled, cried, laughed, sled, played smear the q., had snow ball fights, etc, etc..on that grass - who wish to see it covered with concrete and homes.

Sad, Sad, Sad...

New details in the register today. They seem to move things off the net as soon as possible? Are you following Doris?

Anonymous said...

"Are you following Doris?"

To above blogger, did you mean Ron?

Anonymous said...

Any truth to this comment I just saw on DMR site:

"I'm surprised nothing has hit the news about the rumored E Boesen attempt to purchase Earl May, attempt to borrow $30M+ to do so and being caught submitting docs showing a high liquid net worth. Rumor is the FBI was on his tail big time. Makes you wonder if others were involved ."

Anonymous said...

Who used to write this blog? Who is Ron? What is Ron's last name?

Anonymous said...

I would like to know how Maureen and her kids are living? She said she only had $4,000.00 dollars to her name and that was quite awhile ago. Regency guys in the same position. Where do they get there $$$$$$? If the story about Earl May is true, someone besides Ed had to know. No one seems to know where the money has gone. $40 million is not pocket change. Come on Doris!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Has Doris/Ron given up and realized that they, in fact, do have a life outside of obsessing over the Boesen's? Were they arrested? Hmm... Watch out loyal followers... your leader has abandoned you...

Doris hates the Register not Ed, just trying to show up "the rag". Ed just happened to be the story to do so--

Anonymous said...

To anonymous above at bloggerherearethedocs@live.com

I've known the identity of this blogger for a few weeks and have been closely monitoring this site and the DMR. I strongly disagree with a previous bloggers comments that "Doris hates the register not Ed". Unfortunately Doris has resorted to personal attacks on Ed and the Boesen family that proves to me that a strong animosity exists. I am in no way defending Ed's actions but I do believe that if someone is willing to make malicious, unfounded, inaccurate personal accusations it shouldn't be done publicly behind a shield of anonymity. My goal is not to reveal this person in an attempt to publicly humiliated him because then my actions would be no better than his. My goal is to help Doris and others realize that regardless of your feelings about Ed and the circumstances surrounding his death that the personal attacks should end. Peace,

Anonymous said...

I know who it is but it will take me more than $200 dollars...geez

Anonymous said...

Is a persons reputation still protected after they are dead? At the extreme, Could libel or slander charges against Doris apply here since Ed is dead? And if so, has Doris really said anything that could be considered libel or slander?

(It's my opinion that it shouldn't apply and that Doris hasn't)

I am asking a question here, not making a statement. Someone please reply so I know.

Anonymous said...

This is in response to the above post. Ron a/k/a Doris put up the following post:

"This is the first step in proving that CRIMINAL FRAUD was committed by Ed Boesen and more than the likely his co-horts, his brothers"

This states that is more than likely that Eb Boesens' "brothers" committed fraud. If this is a lie (as I suspect) and Ron a/k/a Doris is on the hook if the brothers suffered damages.

Here are the elements:

First, the plaintiff (in this hypothetical case the "boesen brothers") must prove that the defendant made a false and defamatory statement concerning the plaintiff.

[** i.e. they did not committ fraud]

Second, the plaintiff must prove that the defendant made an unprivileged publication to a third party.

[**that occurred here because the brothers are not public officials]

Third, the plaintiff must prove that the publisher acted at least negligently in publishing the communication.

[** did Ron a/k/a Doris have a good faith basis for making the statement -- what facts did doris have]

Fourth, plaintiff must prove damages.

[i.e. emotional, lost flower business]

***
Bottom line there are plenty of attorneys who would sue Doris if contacted by Boesen's brothers. I suggest they call....

Anonymous said...

If anyone who knows who Ron is, why not release his full name to the register so they can do a story on him or her. Old classmate, lawyer, or relative of the family? Someone knows, why not spill the beans?

Anonymous said...

Do some research on Ron and the Des Moines Register and you will find your answer.

Anonymous said...

Don't know how to get info for Ron at the register. HELP!!!!

So... try to be a little less illusive... i have been looking for the last hour and i have no idea what you are talking about

Anonymous said...

I don't know how much clearer I can be. Here is another hint:

First principles, Simplicity. Read the Des Moines Register. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek?

What is the first and principal thing he does? What needs does he serve by blogging?

He blogs. That is his nature. And how do we begin to blog? Do we seek out things to blog? Make an effort to answer now.

We begin by blogging what we see every day. Don't you feel your eyes moving over this blog? And don't your eyes seek out the things you want to read about?

Anonymous said...

We talked to one of Ed's neighbors from Clear Lake and said they always lived over the top, but that he was nice and so was the famiy. Things have been removed from the property over there already and house is in a remodel mess that is not done. I wonder who will pick up this property or if it is for sale?

Anonymous said...

Whatever. You don't know who this person is either. You are just being stupid. You are probably Doris/Ron anyway trying to get more hits on your blog. Either say who it is or don't. No more stupid BS 'seek what you look for in the Register' crap. Either give the answer or don't.

Anonymous said...

Hey Doris, someone is really ticked off at you for playing the game. I don't think you work at the register at all. I think you are a lawyer trying to put this all together for the court system and to tell the public that if you steal by fraud, you will not get away with it anymore. It does not matter who you are or what you think your name is. Things have to be moving through the court, but no news in the register.

50 million! Wow! I worry if I owe a 50.00 bill to someone. I feel for his children, but not the adults who did this with him. Who gave Ed the fake paperwork or did he do it himself. I can't believe he did this all by himself. Come on Doris???? Please take the bait.

Anonymous said...

I will not be forced to take the bait...I am working as hard as I can on this.

Anonymous said...

No one is forcing you to do anything. You started the blog and all we ask is to keep figuring out where the money went and who helped him. We do not live in Des Moines, but have kept up with the story through the net. All of us will pay tax dollars on this huge scam. I have great credit, bo credit card debt at all, but my banker would require all of kinds of proof for me to borrow money. I would never do business with any of these banks.

Anonymous said...

I meant NO credit card debt!!!!

Anonymous said...

Bait? What bait, Doris? No one is baiting you. We're just asking that you be honest with your readers about your abilities to provide " the truth " and prove that you don't do this blog for your own warped need for attention. Most of us are too busy to keep checking back to blank pages.

Anonymous said...

It's hard to believe that there are so many bad bankers who allowed the lending of so much money to Ed. I think some of the bankers thought they were going to get a cut out of the deal. Think about it...like previous poster said...it's difficult to secure a regular loan.

But bank after bank after bank handed Ed millions. Where were the loan approval committees? Who did the paperwork? Have any of the banks mentioned their fault in being so lax? Some of these buildings had mortgages of $7 million with only an appraised value of $1 million! Outrageous!

Too many banks, too many bad loans. This is not a coincidence.
I smell a rat in an expensive suit who wanted a cut of the Ed deals.

Anonymous said...

I wonder how much of the AIG 85 billion dollar bailout is tied up in this mess....

Anonymous said...

I would bet that Iowa will see large changes in business lending policies because of Mr. Boesen. Books will be written on this subject, I believe.
Just imagine- There are probably ten thousand Ed Boesens in this country, scamming billions of dollars in ways we cannot even fathom. Many of these have spouses who have NO clue as to what is going on.

Anonymous said...

I really think most spouses know what business deals are made in the daily networking if you run companies. If my husband had a boat, plane, helicoper, airport, etc., I would know how and when he purchased this stuff. Come on--give women in this country a little credit for not being stupid. Mrs. Boesen got the benefit of all of this, and now plays dumb. Wow!!!!

The bankers were also sharks. It's time to feed the fish to the court system.

Anonymous said...

Instead bankers are getting bailed out by the government

Anonymous said...

Another article in the register today. I wonder why these lenders have not gone after faimly homes etc. The banks will have to settle for pennies on the dollar, which is not fair to tax payers. The bankers in this mess also should have to forfeit assets, homes 41K's, stocks, properties and the list could go on and on. Someone needs to step up to the plate and go after all of them. This is NOT right. I'm madder than he$$.

There are no more stories. Enough has been revealed. Let the healing process begin already.

Anonymous said...

I assume the last poster did not have any business dealings with Ed Boesen. The people that got hurt in this deal will take great losses. You and me taxpayers get it again in the rear, just bend over some more. It's the trickle down effect that gets us all---------sorry there is a story to carry on. Shame on you!!!!!

Anonymous said...

To the poster on Sept. 30

Hello I D I O T

Obviously you didn't quite comprehend the purpose of my post.

First off, to answer your assumptions...I wrote the post on Sept. 2. Yes, I didn't have any business dealings with Ed. I did grow up around Ed and thought he was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. However, I would never condone his way of doing business which was obviously, in some cases, dishonest at best.

The purpose of the Sept. 29 post was to tell the people or individual attacking this blogger for recording the facts revealed along with providing a personal opinion to GET A LIFE!!! Don't read a blog if you don't like it. Blogs give us an outlet to express anyway we choose.

Your response, Sept. 30th anonymous, is foolish. You state, "The people that got hurt in this deal will take great losses." blah, blah, blah..."Shame on you!!!!!"....Personifies my original point - on the other side of the coin - to the fullest.

No individual or entity on the short end of the stick of any Ed Boesen deal is experiencing a fraction of the loss as his own kids or most likely his wife.

Maybe you have too many corn husks blocking your brain receptors. To summarize my original post, Thanks for the insight, BLOGGER, this is a sad story all around, Long live Rice Field, (second post) - freedom of speech yes / nitpicky individuals who can't move on in life no

I'm done, hopefully you can let it go as well.

Anonymous said...

You took the bait!!!! You said evil things about your friend Ed. I'm glad you are not my friend. Got you mad, and you blew your cool. Prayers to all the Boesen's.

Bye Bye Doris

Anonymous said...

Long live rice? Who needs to move on?

Anonymous said...

Hey Ron---------saw your response to the new article about selling personal property? Are you bidding since you knew Ed? Now the brothers want a deal. What a scam!!!

Anonymous said...

This will never end for the Boesen wife or kids. They need to put everything they have left up for auction and move. Ed did a real job on them all. How can the wife ever pay the tax bill on all of this?

Anonymous said...

Doris, do the math..... the Boesen brothers want a deal and now you are silent. Why? They really want to rip off the companies that are holding the cars, ect. for auction. Please look into this and post----------

Anonymous said...

hey doris, trickle down effect, bank in trouble for faulty loans to boesen and regency. you said it would have no effect on anyone but family. loan officers are going downn to.

Anonymous said...

Now that the property of boesen won't sell, maybe the brothers could step up and buy some for the tax rolls again. Prayers to the Kids!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Hey Doris---------more fall out from Ed's deals again. Why did you stop???? Please give us an answer. How many more people are invoved in this?

Anonymous said...

Get over it. No one cares.

Anonymous said...

If I was a shareholder in any of these banks, I would remove my money and name from them. See, there are a few people left in this world that do care. You should be like that too. Must be Doris , who is a Boesen in all this blog nighmare. All the officers in the faled loans should be FIRED!!!! End of subject.

Anonymous said...

Take this stupid blog down!!!!! Doris, pantherchic, Ron or a boesen should be ashamed of themselves. All you people who bank at these banks will pay for the losses. A quarter here and there, no big deal. I would not be a shareholder in any of these banks either. Lawsuits to come from them. LOL.

Anyone who has to go out of their way to call Ed Boesen, any other Boesen, A coleman, or anyone else associated with this a fraud is possible the biggest moron. I knew Ed for my whole life, who are you to call him a fraud? He did NOTHING but try to give everything he could to the people he knew that needed it. To sit behind a computer and try to judge someone you know nothing about is cowardice. Everyone has their own personal opinions about others. But someone who goes out of their way to try to put a deceased man's name to shame, deserves nothing but the worst. You never knew him on a personal level, you never will, and yet you still feel YOU have the right to sit here and try to accuse him?! You are immature, insignificant, and deserve nothing but the worst that will come to you one day. Karma is the devil, and trust me, you will get your share one day coward. And No, I am not ashamed to put my name out there. I loved Ed like a father, and always will. NOTHING that anyone can accuse him of will change the way he impacted my life, and everyone else's around him. He was the most kind hearted person I knew. I sit here and wonder why God would take someone who had so much to offer to the world and leave someone like you. You don't understand the whole story, nobody does. Instead of accusing someone you don't know, how about you try to get some facts straight next time? You and all those people who did nothing but try to put Ed's name to shame deserve nothing but what karma will deliver you one day.

I say everything on here, and I would be nothing but honored to personally discuss how amazing of a person Ed was in person to anyone who asks. I am not a coward, who hides my identity. God will help those who help themselves. You are not helping yourself by trying to put a great man's name to shame. For that reason I pity you.
